Storage spaces
Sere Transilvania storage spaces are made of the most resistant materials and are built on a professional greenhouse or tunnel structure. Our storage spaces are ideal for storage of agricultural tools and equipment, technological spaces, storage of crops, for farms, auto services, and many more.
Materials
- The steel: All the profiles, including the gutters, are zinc-coated in continuous galvanization (Sendzimir, 275g of Zn/sqm). The type of steel is designed especially for greenhouses and tunnels, as it is more resistant to impact and distortion, and it has a smooth surface without porosities to scratch or prematurely degrade the cover film.
- The cover film: Opaque white-gray three-layer film, resistant to UV and elongation, anti-dust, with a 230 microns thickness. Lifespan: 57 months (5 winters + 4 summers). It can cover the structure on the laterals and roof.
- The polycarbonate: 6mm thick, polycarbonate is an optional material for the laterals (instead of the film). It is a versatile material, transparent and light, a remarkably resistant plastic material with an increased strength.
- The sandwich panels: Another alternative for the lateral sides (instead of the film). The advantages of the panels are the stability, the impact resistance, thermal insulation, waterproofness, resistance to a humid and corrosive environment and the fact that they are very easy to install.
Natural ventilation
Natural ventilation can be made through: side openings, windows and openings at the ends. Lateral opening is made by rotary tube, film being rolled upward. This can be manually operated by a manual worm gear unit or by electric power drive.
The vertical wall and modular structures can also be equipped with a top opening. The system is designed on rotating tube with rack and pinion type of system. Width of the opening is 2,0m for 1 opening per module, or 1,5m for double opening (butterfly type). The opening is controlled with a control panel with wind, rain and temperature sensors.

The structure
The metallic structure is made of premium E260 round steel pipe, with 275 zinc / sqm Sendzimir galvanization. The arches have a 60mm diameter with a 1,5mm wall thickness. The profiles are telescopically joint and secured with class 8.8 quality screws. The arches are connected through 5 lines of longitudinal profiles with a Ø 28x1,5mm.
The structure can withstand snow loads of at least 115 kg / sqm and the wind resistance is of at least 90km / h.
Side bracings: 2 arch bracings / pillar with a Ø 28x1,5mm.

The glazing
The upper part and the gables of the sanitary tent are covered with fireproof tarpaulin 680gr./sqm.
The tarpaulin is fixed on the structure using ratchet straps on both sides and using a UV resistant reinforced rope on the gable arch.

Installation of a tunnel storage space
The arches can be installed on:
- the ground with a concrete (bearing) foundation
- a concrete or asphalt surface: with chemical anchors and an arch fixing basis
There are several options for the access:
Option A: opening with zipper in the gable tarpaulin with 2 access points with the dimensions 1600x2100mm and a middle pillar. (the tarpaulin opening can be rolled on the upper side). If desired, the pillar can be dismantled to enter with machinery or equipment.
Option B: double door made of 60mm PVC, with the dimensions 1600x2300mm, partially coated with insulating glass.
For both options the 2nd gable is with tarpaulin (without access) with 2 ventilation windows.
Optional
- - Bases + chemical anchors for installation on concrete / asphalt;
- - Extra gable with roll-up tarpaulin;
- - Extra gable with tarpaulin and double PVC door.
